Overview of Ink Different’s 4-Phase Tattoo Apprenticeship Program
Ink Different’s Traditional Tattoo Apprenticeship Program takes a thoughtful, step-by-step approach to training new Tattoo Artists through a structured program divided into four distinct phases. Each phase builds on the skills learned in the previous one, guiding tattoo apprentices gradually from foundational art principles to professional, real-world tattooing. This carefully designed progression helps ensure that every tattoo apprentice develops the technical ability, artistic confidence, and professional mindset needed for a successful career.
The whole apprenticeship typically lasts between 18 and 24 months (1.5 to 2 years). However, the exact length varies depending on each tattoo apprentice’s individual progress and growth. This flexibility allows trainers to tailor guidance and pacing to the tattoo apprentice’s strengths and areas for improvement, rather than pushing everyone through a rigid timeline.
To maintain high standards and provide personalized mentorship, Ink Different Tattoos limits the program to just two apprentice spots per location. With over 40 locations available, Ink Different provides tattoo apprentices with focused attention from experienced trainers, ensuring quality instruction and support throughout their entire learning journey.
