Azalea’s Apprentice Journey with Ink Different Tattoos

Azalea’s Journey to Becoming a Tattoo Artist

"I've always liked drawing since I was little high schools. When they started offering art classes. I did art one and two and then I remember my teacher was like you're too advanced for this. I'm gonna just put you an A and I was like as a sophomore in a senior class. I was like, okay, sure, fun. I went to COC and then major in art for a little bit took all the classes. I just realized college just wasn't for me. I didn't see what I was gona do future lives. I really am happy that I found it here because this is what I wanted to do. "

Why Azalea Chose Ink Different Tattoos

I love art and I love drawing and now I get to like make money for it. That's cool. The teachers I have are really nice and helpful. I like learning that way rather than I think like if I would have gone to just a shop and walked in there and. I don't even know how that would go, but people here are great. I love everybody here. Everyone's so nice and welcomelcoming. When I started in here. I was super nervous like it took me a long time to get in here, but it was more just on me because I was scared. Looking back, I'm like, I'm so happy. I did it because it was real.
I don't think it was hard for me to find someone to tattoo. It was more just meek. I'm very much a perfectionist and I was like I don't want to like I'm sticking a needle in someone's skin so that and it's permanent. So I won't do a tattoo unless I know it's gona come out the way I see it in my head. I don't have nerves anymore coming in and tattooing someone and end up loving it so that always makes me happy.

Kevin’s Apprentice Journey with Ink Different Tattoos

Why Kevin Chose Ink Different Tattoos

"Once I found out about the apprenticeship program, I was like, okay, this is set up like a college class. I know I can trust it. It has a system. It's got courses and there are a bunch of other people doing it. So it's not just me and it's, and there's a contract drawn up. So I was like, all right, I trust this."

What challenges did Kevin experience learning How to Tattoo?

"Not many, cause I had such a wonderful network of people to work with. In phase one, I could always talk to my phase 1 instructor. At phase 2, I had a whole team of people that were here to help me. So I didn't run into a whole lot of issues. And whenever I did hit a snag or like I couldn't quite figure something out, I had people here at Ink Different to help me. So it was really pretty, pretty straightforward for me."

"The advanced tattoo class taught by Gabe is definitely worth the time and money if you truly wish to be a successful and consistent tattoo artist. He knows the industry inside out and everywhere in between! The course is tough and Gabe doesn't cut any corners. The differences between my first few designs to the last few are monumental and its entirely thanks to Gabes instructions and demonstrations."
Ryan H
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"There is no apprenticeship that will teach you everything I've learned at the institute. Our instructor Gabe has a passion for the tattoo industry and pays homage to the history of tattoo. He is a stickler for safety and proper techniques. I hope to turn the knowledge i've gained here into a career. I'm glad I made the decision to attend this school."
